How Escrow works

How does Escrow Work?

CoinWatch Center reduces the risk of fraud by acting as a trusted third-party that collects, holds and only disburses coins when both Buyer and Seller are satisfied.

  1. Buyer and Seller agree to terms - Either the Buyer or Seller begins a transaction. After registering at coinwatch.center, all parties agree to the terms of the trade.
  2. Buyer pays Coinwatch.center - The Buyer submits a payment using any of the supported coins, the Seller is notified that the coins have been secured 'In Escrow'.
  3. Seller delivers the product to Buyer - Upon payment verification, the Seller is authorised to send the product. Coinwatch.center verifies that the Buyer receives the product (online).
  4. Buyer accepts the product - The Buyer has a 8 hours to accept or reject it. The Buyer accepts the product.
  5. Coinwatch.center send the coins in the escrow to the Seller.
Escrow Requirements and how to write them
Escrow requirements are very important, to ensure safety for both buyer and seller.
If you are:

- You must write detailed description of what you are purchasing from the seller.
- You must request a way to verify the delivery.

- You must check that the requirements details meets whatever you are selling, otherwise you might lose a dispute if the buyer decided that your product doesn't meet his/her description.
- You MUST verify that the delivery-verification method requested by the client is available publicly so that we can check it in case of a dispute.

Examples of accepted escrow requirements:
  • I want to buy 10 BTC, seller must send the BTC to (some Bitcoin Address). (We can check the amount sent to the address thus rewarding the escrow amount to the BTC seller)
  • I want to purchase (something that can be uploaded as a file) + description - The files in this case must be uploaded to a public place where we can download and check them in case of a dispute.
Escrow Fees
